#以太坊与Base账户抽象合作破裂 #Gate广场中秋团圆局

The divergence in account abstraction (AA) standards between Ethereum L1 and Base is not merely fragmentation; it is a pragmatic specialization rooted in base-layer trade-offs.

Architectural Differentiation

* Ethereum L1 (EIP-8141): Focuses on protocol-native "envelope transactions." L1 prioritizes trust-minimized architecture, post-quantum security, and censorship resistance. Instead of relying on complex off-chain bundler networks, it favors a generalized execution standard embedded directly into the EVM.

* Base / OP Stack (EIP-8130): Designed specifically for keystore-based accounts and rapid user onboarding. Base requires low-latency execution, seamless passkey integration, and streamlined compliance processes. It favors on-chain configuration registries tailored to minimize gas fees and optimize the enterprise user experience.

Key Dimension Ethereum L1 (EIP-8141) Base L2 (EIP-8130)

Primary Goal Trust-minimized base-layer security and post-quantum security Seamless user experience, enterprise compliance, and low fees

Mechanism EVM-native envelope execution On-chain registry and keystore contracts

Trade-off Higher execution overhead, strict decentralization | Reliance on wallet abstraction layers and off-chain systems

Fragmentation or Independent Innovation? This distinction represents a functional alignment rather than the creation of a fragmented ecosystem:

1. Layer-Appropriate Engineering: Forcing L1 to adopt L2-focused account abstraction risks protocol bloat and compromises decentralization guarantees. Conversely, forcing L2s to wait for conservative L1 consensus updates hinders consumer adoption.

2. Bridging Shifts to Wallets: Interoperability moves higher up the technology stack toward wallet providers . Wallets unify both EIPs under a single interface, ensuring a seamless cross-chain user experience. This decoupling grants L1 the structural robustness it requires while enabling L2s to operate at high speeds and deliver Web3 user experiences at scale.
