#Gate用户突破6000万 60 million users is a huge number, but behind every account is a story. Mine started with one small trade after I joined Gate in January 2025. I didn't enter the crypto market with a big portfolio or years of experience. I started with a small amount, around 15 USDT, mainly because I wanted to learn by actually experiencing the market instead of only watching charts from the outside.

At that time, my understanding of trading was very basic. I knew Bitcoin, I knew that prices moved up and down, and I knew that a green P&L felt much better than a red one. 😂 But I didn't yet understand how important an entry level, risk management or an exit plan could be. I was looking at the market more like a prediction game: if BTC looked bullish, I wanted to buy; if it looked weak, I wanted to wait. I hadn't yet learned that having a plan matters more than having an opinion.

One of my early BTC trades became the one I still remember. I entered with roughly 15 USDT at around $95,000 BTC, expecting the recent momentum to continue. For a while, the trade moved in my favor and my P&L reached approximately +$5. Seeing that small profit felt surprisingly exciting. I started thinking that maybe the market was finally becoming easy to understand.

Then came the unexpected part.

Instead of continuing higher, BTC pulled back sharply. The green P&L disappeared much faster than I expected, and for a moment I just watched the chart hoping the price would recover. That was my mistake. I had no clearly defined point where I would admit that my idea was wrong. I was no longer following a trading plan; I was waiting for the market to prove me right.

Eventually, I closed the position with a small loss instead of allowing a small mistake to become a much bigger one. The amount wasn't life-changing, but the lesson was. I realized that my biggest problem wasn't the direction of BTC. It was my reaction when the trade stopped going according to my expectations.

That trade completely changed how I looked at risk. I started understanding why experienced traders talk so much about position size, stop-losses and patience. A trade doesn't become bad simply because it loses money, and a trade doesn't automatically become good because it makes money. What matters is whether the decision was based on a reasonable setup and whether the risk was controlled before entering.

After that, I stopped trying to enter every move. I began watching support and resistance more carefully, paying attention to volume and momentum, and giving myself a clear reason for entering. Most importantly, I started deciding my exit plan before opening the position rather than making emotional decisions after the chart started moving.

My journey on Gate since January 2025 has been a gradual process of learning like that. First came curiosity, then small trades, then mistakes, then better understanding. Some trades gave me profit, some taught me patience, and some showed me exactly what I shouldn't do again. The amount of money involved in those early trades was small, but each experience helped build better habits.

I also learned that patience is a trading skill. Sometimes the best decision is waiting for confirmation instead of chasing a sudden candle. Sometimes protecting capital is more important than catching the entire move. And sometimes closing a trade with a small loss is actually a disciplined decision, because the market will always provide another opportunity.

Looking back, that one small BTC trade didn't make me a better trader overnight. What it did was expose the difference between wanting the market to move in my direction and being prepared for what the market could actually do. That distinction changed my approach.

Today, when I think about Gate reaching 60 million users worldwide, I don't see it simply as a platform milestone. I think about the millions of individual beginnings behind that number. One person may remember their first BTC trade. Another may remember their first ETH position. Someone may remember their first $5 profit, while someone else remembers the first mistake that taught them risk management.

Every account has a different story. Different starting capital, different first trade, different market conditions, different mistakes and different breakthroughs. But almost every trader has a moment when they realize that trading isn't just about predicting price it's about managing decisions.

For me, that realization started with a small BTC position, around 15 USDT, a brief +$5 profit, an unexpected reversal, and a lesson I still carry into every trade: patience beats impulse, risk management beats hope, and a plan beats emotion.

From my first trade in January 2025 to the journey I'm continuing today, the biggest change hasn't been the size of my trades. It's the discipline behind them.

That's what makes the 60-million-user milestone meaningful to me. Behind 60 million accounts are 60 million different journeys, and somewhere in that number are countless traders who are still waiting to make the trade that changes how they trade forever. @Gate_Square
