📉 DOGEUSDT — SHORT TRADE PLAN | Waiting for the Setup
DOGEUSDT | Technical Analysis | Short-Term Trade Idea
DOGE is currently trading around the $0.0874 area, but I’m not interested in chasing the current move.
My plan is to wait for the market to give me the price level I want and then look for a SHORT opportunity around $0.08375.
🔻 My Trade Plan
Direction: SHORT
Entry: $0.08375
Stop Loss: $0.09000
Primary Target: $0.08141
Extended Target: $0.07999
The key idea is to wait for price to return toward the marked structure and then trade the rejection/continuation rather than entering emotionally in the middle of the move.
🔎 Why am I looking at the SHORT?
Looking at the chart structure, DOGE made a strong bullish expansion from the $0.081–$0.084 area and pushed aggressively toward the $0.089–$0.090 region.
That upper region is important because it contains the marked FVG (Fair Value Gap).
Price has already reacted strongly from that area once, and the chart shows the upper FVG sitting approximately around $0.0882–$0.0892.
This tells me that the higher area can potentially act as a supply/resistance zone.
Instead of buying into that resistance, my idea is to wait for the market to complete its move and then look for downside continuation.
🧠 The important zones
🔴 $0.0882–$0.0892 — FVG / Supply Area
This is the major resistance area visible on my chart.
If DOGE moves back into this zone, I’ll be watching closely for rejection.
🟢 $0.08375 — My planned entry
This is the level I’m using for the trade plan.
I’m not chasing the current candle. I want price to come toward my planned level and give me the setup I’m looking for.
🟡 $0.08141 — First downside objective
This is the important lower zone marked on the chart.
It sits around the previous structure/support area, making it a logical place to secure profits.
🟢 $0.07999 — Extended target
If bearish momentum continues after the first target, I’ll watch the lower liquidity/support region around $0.0800.
🛑 Why $0.09000 for the Stop?
The $0.09000 area is important because it sits above the recent high and above the marked FVG.
For a bearish setup, I don't want price to establish acceptance above that area.
If DOGE breaks and holds above $0.09000, the bearish thesis becomes significantly weaker, so I would consider the setup invalid rather than continuously moving the stop.
No moving the SL just because the trade is going against me.
📊 What I want to see before entering
This is the most important part of the setup.
I don't want to short simply because the chart looks bearish.
My ideal sequence is:
1️⃣ Price approaches the planned area
↓
2️⃣ Price shows rejection / failure to continue higher
↓
3️⃣ Bearish structure develops
↓
4️⃣ Confirmation appears on the lower timeframe
↓
5️⃣ SHORT around $0.08375
↓
6️⃣ Risk protected above $0.09000
↓
7️⃣ Target $0.08141 first
↓
8️⃣ If momentum remains bearish → $0.07999
This way, the trade has a defined thesis instead of being based on FOMO.
⚠️ Risk Management
This is a setup, not a guaranteed prediction.
The market can invalidate any technical idea.
My invalidation is clearly defined at $0.09000, and I would rather take a controlled loss than turn a small planned trade into an emotional hold.
I’ll also be watching volume and candle structure around the important levels. If the reaction is weak or the market structure changes, there is no trade.
🎯 Final Plan
DOGEUSDT SHORT
🔻 Entry: $0.08375
🛑 SL: $0.09000
🎯 TP1: $0.08141
🎯 TP2: $0.07999
For me, the biggest advantage here is patience.
I’m not chasing DOGE at $0.087+ just because price is moving. I already have my level, my invalidation and my targets. Now I wait for the market to come to me.
If the setup confirms → I’ll take the trade according to the plan.
If it doesn't → I simply stay out. That's part of trading too. 📊
Let’s see whether DOGE respects the structure or completely invalidates the bearish idea. 👀
