MY GATE JOURNEY WITH CRYPTO

When I started using Gate, I was not an experienced trader. I was simply curious about crypto and wanted to understand how people were trading assets like Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. My first trades were a mix of excitement, confusion and learning. I quickly discovered that crypto is not just about seeing a green candle and entering a position. There is always a bigger story behind the price.

MY FIRST TRADING LESSON

One of my earliest lessons came from chasing a fast price movement. I saw an asset moving strongly upward and thought the safest decision was to enter immediately. The market had a different plan. That trade taught me something I still remember today: momentum can create opportunities, but entering without understanding volume, liquidity and market structure can turn an opportunity into unnecessary risk.

After that experience, I started looking beyond individual candles. I began watching Bitcoin direction, trading volume, support and resistance, market sentiment and overall liquidity. Instead of asking only whether a coin would rise or fall, I started asking why the market was moving and what could invalidate my idea.

HOW MY STRATEGY CHANGED

Over time, my approach became much more disciplined. Before entering a trade, I try to understand the broader market first. Bitcoin remains one of the most important indicators because strong BTC movements can influence the entire crypto market. Ethereum and major altcoins can also provide clues about whether market appetite is expanding or weakening.

I also became more interested in macroeconomic data. Interest-rate expectations, inflation, employment data, Treasury yields, the US dollar, gold and oil can all influence global risk sentiment. Crypto does not exist separately from the rest of financial markets. When liquidity conditions change, crypto can react quickly.

THE TRADES I REMEMBER MOST

Interestingly, my most valuable trades were not always my most profitable ones. Some losing trades taught me more than successful positions. There were moments when I entered too early, exited too quickly or became too confident after a few successful trades. Every mistake forced me to improve my process.

Today, I think about trading in probabilities rather than certainty. I ask myself where the setup becomes invalid, how much risk I am taking and whether the potential reward justifies that risk. This change in mindset has made my trading experience completely different.

WHY THE 60 MILLION MILESTONE MATTERS

Now Gate has officially surpassed 60 million users globally. For me, this number represents much more than platform growth. Behind those 60 million users are millions of individual stories. Someone is making their first trade today. Someone is learning technical analysis. Someone is holding Bitcoin for the long term. Someone is studying futures. And someone is probably making the same beginner mistakes that I once made.

That is what makes this milestone special. Every user has a different reason for entering crypto, a different trading style and a different experience with the market.

THE MARKET NEVER STOPS TEACHING

Crypto has changed dramatically since I started. The market now connects with traditional finance through ETFs, institutional participation, derivatives, stablecoins and tokenized assets. At the same time, technology is becoming more advanced, market data is becoming easier to access and traders have more tools than ever before.

But one thing has not changed: volatility.

The market can reward patience one day and punish overconfidence the next. A breakout can become a fakeout. A strong rally can turn into a correction. A coin can trend for days and reverse within minutes. That is why risk management remains more important to me than trying to predict every single move.

WHAT GATE HAS TAUGHT ME

My journey with Gate has been about more than individual trades. It has been about developing a better understanding of markets and becoming more disciplined with every experience.

I have learned that profit is important, but protecting capital is even more important. I have learned that patience can be a strategy. I have learned that market narratives can change quickly. Most importantly, I have learned that no trader can control the market, but every trader can control their preparation and risk.

LOOKING AHEAD

With Gate now crossing 60 million users, I see this as another chapter rather than the end of the story. Crypto markets are still evolving, institutional participation continues to develop, regulation is changing and new technologies are creating completely new opportunities.

My own journey is still unfinished. There are more market cycles to experience, more charts to study and more lessons waiting ahead.

When I think about my first trade on Gate, I can clearly see how much my mindset has changed. I started by watching prices. Now I try to understand the market behind those prices.

That is probably the biggest lesson I have gained from this journey.

Do not chase every candle. Do not confuse luck with skill. Respect volatility, control risk and keep learning.

Because in crypto, the goal is not to catch every move.

The goal is to become a better trader with every move.

And now, with more than 60 million users worldwide, I am proud that my own trading story is one small part of the much bigger Gate journey.
