#BitmineAdds51000ETH

I think the real question here isn't "Will it stop when it reaches 5%?", but "How will its strategy change after reaching 5%?".

Current data shows BitMine holds approximately 5,901,112 ETH, reaching about 4.9% of the total supply. The company defines this as 98% of its "Alchemy of 5%" target. Furthermore, the buying spree has reached 65 weeks.

My view: The 5% target is more of a milestone than the final destination.

5% is approximately 6.035 million ETH. So, from the current level, only about 134,000 ETH remain to reach the target.

Therefore, I see three scenarios:

1. Most likely: 5% → 5%+ continues, but the pace slows down. BitMine's past behavior isn't simply "buy ETH until you reach the target." Considering ETH as a long-term balance sheet asset and a source of staking return is a crucial part of the strategy. Arkham is specifically discussing the possibility of slowing down or continuing buying after the 5% mark.

2. If aggressive buying continues after the 5% mark, it would be a very strong demand signal for ETH. Because the market would no longer be pricing in "BitMine reached its target," but rather "it reached its target but is still withdrawing ETH from the market."

3. If buying stops sharply at 5%, the short-term narrative may change.
The 65-week uninterrupted buying streak has become a demand source that the market is accustomed to. Therefore, a significant drop in the pace of buying after 5%, while not a sell signal for ETH alone, could be negative in terms of marginal demand.

Another important point: BitMine isn't just accumulating ETH; it's building a treasury model that generates returns by staking large amounts of ETH. Recent announcements indicate that over 5 million ETH are staked and annualized staking revenue is in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

My interpretation for ETH:

5% = not resistance, but a new testing level.

I would particularly follow these three data points:

* Weekly ETH purchase volume after the 5% retracement
* Change in staked ETH volume
* Net inflows into ETH ETFs

Because if strong money inflows into ETFs continue while BitMine purchases persist, the institutional demand story for ETH will transform into two separate channels that feed off each other. In the last week, approximately $824 million in net inflows were reported in US spot ETH ETFs.

In short: I don't interpret this as "it's coming to 5%, then it'll be over." Rather, I think reaching the 5% target is a psychological milestone, and after that, BitMine's transition to an ETH treasury + staking model will become even more important.

And if the weekly purchase volume remains around 50K+ ETH after the 5% retracement, that would be a very strong bullish signal for me.
