NVIDIA (NVDA) Market Analysis — Current Price $217.40 | Bullish Recovery Setup With Key Resistance Ahead

NVIDIA is trading around $217.40, and the technical picture is currently mixed but still constructive on the medium-term trend. After the recent earnings catalyst, NVDA showed strong upside momentum, but the stock then faced heavy profit-taking as the broader technology sector reacted to higher Treasury yields and renewed expectations around interest rates.

Recent market data shows NVDA closing near $217.55, while technical indicators are pointing to a battle between bullish long-term structure and weaker short-term momentum.

1. Fundamental Strength Remains Strong
The biggest bullish factor is NVIDIA's latest business outlook. Q2 revenue reached approximately $96.22B, while data-center revenue reached about $89B. Management also projected around $108B revenue for the following quarter and indicated that next fiscal year's revenue could grow roughly 70%. This keeps the long-term AI infrastructure story strong.

2. Current Technical Structure

At $217.40, NVDA is sitting directly around an important technical decision zone.

Recent technical readings show the stock near its short and medium moving averages, meaning the next breakout or rejection can determine the short-term direction. The daily RSI has recently been reported around the low-to-mid 50s, which is neither overbought nor deeply oversold. This gives bulls room to build another move if buyers return.

3. Key Support Levels

The first support zone is $213–$214. Holding this area keeps the recovery structure alive.

The second support is $208–$210, which is much more important because it overlaps with the recent pullback region and longer-term moving-average support.

Major support sits around $200–$203. A daily close below this region would significantly weaken the bullish setup.

4. Key Resistance Levels

Immediate resistance: $220–$222

Major resistance: $226–$229

Breakout zone: $230–$236

The $229–$230 region is particularly important.

A strong daily close above it could open the door toward the previous high area around $236 and potentially higher levels.

5. RSI Outlook

RSI is currently around the neutral-to-positive area rather than an extreme overbought condition.

That means NVDA can still move higher without immediately entering a technically overheated zone. However, if RSI pushes above 70 while price reaches $230+, traders should watch for short-term profit-taking.

6. Market Sentiment

Overall sentiment is Bullish with elevated volatility.

NVIDIA's fundamental story remains extremely strong, but higher Treasury yields and changing Federal Reserve expectations can create pressure on high-growth technology stocks. Recent commentary around a possible September rate hike has already produced weakness across parts of the technology sector.

7. Trading Strategy

A conservative approach is to avoid chasing a sudden green candle. The first confirmation would be a sustained move above $220–$222.

A stronger confirmation comes above $229–$230 with expanding volume.

If price pulls back toward $213–$214 and buyers defend the level, that area can become an attractive technical support zone. If $213 fails, watch $208–$210. Below $200, the bullish setup needs serious reassessment.

8. Bullish Forecast

My short-to-medium-term base-case target is $230–$236.

If NVDA breaks and holds above $236, the next upside zone could be approximately $245–$255.

With strong AI demand continuing and another major product cycle ahead, an extended bullish scenario could eventually target $270–$280, but that requires a sustained breakout rather than simply one strong session.

9. Bearish Scenario

If NVDA repeatedly fails around $220–$230 and closes below $213, sellers could push the stock toward $208–$210. A decisive break below $200 would shift the structure considerably more bearish and could expose the $190–$195 region.

10. Risk Management Levels

For a short-term bullish setup:

SL1: $213 — tight protection

SL2: $208 — wider swing protection

SL3: $200 — major structural invalidation

Potential upside targets:

TP1: $225

TP2: $236

TP3: $250

These levels are technical scenarios, not guaranteed prices. Position sizing should be controlled because NVDA can move several dollars quickly during high-volume sessions.

Final View:

At $217.40, NVIDIA remains one of the strongest AI-growth names, but the stock is now at a critical technical crossroads. Above $220–$222, momentum can improve; above $229–$230, the bullish case becomes much stronger.

A breakout through $236 could potentially accelerate the move toward $245–$255. On the downside, $213, $208 and $200 are the levels bulls need to defend.

My bias: Bullish above $213, strongly bullish above $230, cautious below $208.
