Gate Reserve Report: Trust Soars to $8.2 Billion

What's the most concrete indicator of trust in the crypto world? I think it's reserves. According to Gate.io's latest Proof of Reserves report, published on August 24th, total reserves have reached $8.215 billion. And the overall reserve coverage rate is at 127%.

What does this mean? Simply put, for every $100 stored on the platform, there are $127 in the vault. This is well above the 100% threshold considered secure by the industry.

Growing Figures, Strengthening Trust

Compared to the previous report, an increase is noticeable in all major asset categories:

On the Bitcoin front, user assets increased from 21,557 BTC to 22,436 BTC, while the platform's reserves rose from 26,775 BTC to 27,550 BTC. This represents a 22.79% surplus in reserves.

On Ethereum, user assets increased from 374,348 ETH to 375,429 ETH, while platform reserves rose from 456,798 ETH to 458,203 ETH. The over-reserve ratio is 22.05%.

The situation is even more striking for stablecoins. The total user assets of USDT, USDC, USD1, and GUSD jumped from $1.336 billion to $1.578 billion. The platform's reserves allocated for these four coins increased from $1.59 billion to $1.761 billion, with a coverage ratio of 111.63%.

Not Just Big Coins

Other significant assets like GT and XRP also have over-reserve ratios well above 100%. GT has a coverage ratio of 131.15%, and XRP has 116.09%.

Why is this important?

These figures are more than just statistics. This shows how prepared Gate.io is against "platform failure" or "liquidity crisis" scenarios, which are among the biggest fears of the crypto markets. With $8.2 billion in reserves and a 127% coverage rate, it's concrete evidence that user funds are safe, no matter how volatile the market becomes.
