#ETHBreaks2400 ETH just smashed through $2,400.

Ethereum has broken above the $2,400 level with conviction, marking its highest price in more than six weeks. This wasn’t a weak bounce — it was a clean move backed by real activity.

Daily transaction volume jumped 28%. Staking demand intensified, with more than 32.5 million ETH now locked. At the same time, the US Dollar Index closed the week lower and the 10-year Treasury yield held near 4.70%, creating a more favorable backdrop for high-beta assets.

On-chain numbers are strengthening too. Total value locked in DeFi has climbed above $68 billion, up 14% this week. Layer-2 daily active users have pushed past 1.8 million. Spot ETF inflows turned positive for four straight days and already exceed $210 million. Institutional interest is clearly returning.

The broader market is responding. Bitcoin is holding firmly above $76,500. Total altcoin market capitalization has expanded by more than $120 billion in the last 72 hours. Funding rates have normalized and ETH futures open interest has risen 18%. This points to spot-driven accumulation rather than pure leverage.

Ethereum’s supply remains deflationary, with net issuance staying negative for 12 consecutive days. Combined with rising network usage and a weaker dollar environment, the setup is constructive.

Whether ETH can hold and build above $2,400 will depend on continued Layer-2 growth and upcoming network developments. For now, the breakout is supported by improving fundamentals rather than temporary hype.
