#24HourLiquidationsTop800M
The daily candle that broke 75,000 also produced one of the more one-sided liquidation prints in recent months.
Total liquidations reached $841 million in 24 hours. Shorts accounted for $671 million while longs only took $170 million. BTC alone contributed $461 million of that total, ETH another $176 million. On the daily chart the same session shows up as a strong impulsive advance that carried price to the mid-76,000s before a modest pullback. RSI has climbed to 76.35, the short moving average sits at 69,916, and the upper Bollinger Band is near 76,675. Volume expanded clearly on the breakout day.
A liquidation imbalance this heavy does two things at once. Forced covering adds immediate buying pressure and helps extend the move. At the same time it removes a large cohort of leveraged short positions, which can leave the market thinner once the squeeze is complete.
Continuation scenario: if the daily structure holds above the 75,000–75,500 zone and the next sessions do not give back the entire breakout candle, the short-covering fuel has likely done its job. In that case the path of least resistance stays higher and the upper band area becomes the next reference.
Exhaustion scenario: an RSI above 76 on the daily after a liquidation-driven spike often marks a short-term high. If price slips back under 75,000 with declining volume, the $841 million flush would look more like a climax than the foundation of a new leg. Markets frequently pause or reverse after the largest one-sided liquidation waves.
I treat the liquidation data as confirmation that the break of 75,000 forced real positioning adjustments. That is constructive. I also treat the daily RSI and the size of the advance as reasons to expect at least some consolidation. The market has cleared a lot of leveraged opposition; now it needs to show whether fresh demand is ready to follow through.
Are you still holding the long side after this liquidation wave, or has the size of the short squeeze made you tighten risk?
