$ETH
ETH HAS RECLAIMED $2,400, BUT THE REAL TEST STARTS HERE
Ethereum has pushed back above the psychologically important $2,400 level after establishing a strong base around the $1,870–$1,920 region, and the latest price action suggests that buyers have regained meaningful control of the short-term structure. However, a breakout is only valuable if the market can defend it, and ETH is now entering the zone where confirmation matters more than excitement.
The immediate battle is around $2,400. If Ethereum can maintain acceptance above this level and turn the $2,345–$2,380 area into reliable support, the current breakout structure remains constructive. A successful retest would strengthen the case for another move toward $2,500, followed by $2,600, while sustained momentum could eventually open the path toward the $2,700–$2,800 region.
The important point is that ETH does not necessarily need to move vertically from here. A period of consolidation above $2,400 could actually strengthen the broader setup by allowing the market to absorb recent gains while giving buyers an opportunity to establish support at higher prices.
On the other hand, failure to defend the breakout would immediately change the picture. A decisive move below $2,345 would weaken the current structure, while losing $2,300 would raise the probability of a deeper retracement toward $2,250 and potentially lower support zones. The broader bullish thesis becomes increasingly questionable if ETH falls below the major invalidation area around $2,276.
The recent move toward $2,450 also shows why traders should remain selective. Sellers are clearly active around the upper levels, and a breakout that cannot hold above resistance can quickly turn into a liquidity trap for late buyers. Strong momentum does not automatically mean the next move must be higher.
For the next phase, I would focus on market acceptance rather than simply watching the headline price. Holding above $2,400 keeps the bulls in a favorable position, while reclaiming and defending $2,450 would provide another sign that buyers are willing to absorb supply at higher levels.
The key map is straightforward: $2,450 and $2,500 are the first upside barriers, with $2,600 becoming the next major target if momentum expands. On the downside, $2,380, $2,345 and $2,300 are the levels that need to hold, while $2,276 remains the critical invalidation zone.
ETH has broken the level everyone was watching, but the next question is far more important: can Ethereum prove that $2,400 is now support rather than another temporary breakout level?
If ETH holds the retest, the road toward $2,600 becomes increasingly interesting. If $2,400 turns back into resistance, traders may be looking at another failed breakout instead.
