As of February 20, 2025, Pi Network has officially launched its open Mainnet, marking an important milestone in its development. This transition enables external connections, allowing Pi to interact with other blockchain systems and expand its utility in the digital economy.
Prior to this release, Pi Network achieved several key milestones:
KYC verification: Over 19 million users have completed the Know Your Customer #PI KYC( process, ensuring a secure and compliant user base.
Mainnet migration: More than 1014 million users have successfully migrated to Mainnet, exceeding the initial goal of 10 million.
Ecosystem development: Over 100 applications can now be integrated, providing a solid foundation for the Pi ecosystem.
After announcing the launch of the Mainnet, the price of Pi Coin experienced a significant surge, rising from $49 to $92, an increase of 80%. Experts predict that with the network expanding its coverage and utility, the official launch may propel the value of Pi Coin to surpass the $100 mark.
Along with the Mainnet launch, some cryptocurrency exchanges have announced plans to list the PI coin. It is worth noting that Bitrue started trading the PI against USDT at 8:00 AM UTC on February 20, 2025.
