Pi Network warned your customer that the Grace Period expiration date for completing the (KYC) verification and Mainnet transition will be on 28th February 2025.
Originally scheduled to end on January 31, 2025, the final date was extended to February 28, 2025, giving users an additional month to secure their Pi assets.
The Pi Network developers stated that the extension of the additional period is independent of the planned Open Network launch for the first quarter of 2025. This means that the Open Network can be launched before or after the new Grace Period deadline, but the extension will allow more users to have time to complete the necessary steps.
Failure to complete KYC and Mainnet transition by February 28, 2025 may result in the loss of a significant portion of users’ Pi balances. Only Pi issued in the six months prior to the transition will be preserved, while older balances will be lost.
Developers said the following about the subject: “Considering multiple extensions provided, we strongly recommend that you take action now to secure your Pi balance in full.”
To complete KYC and Mainnet transition, users must do the following:
- Open the Pi mining application.
- Tap on the ‘Mainnet Control List’ at the top of the screen.
- Follow the steps to complete KYC and verification.
