The MEME COIN movement of TRUMP $TRUMP's pump and ethical controversy

On July 13, 2024, former U.S. President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania. Trump was injured in the attack, but before leaving the stage, he raised his fist and shouted 'FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT' to the crowd.
After this event, Trump launched a meme coin called $TRUMP on January 17, 2025. The cryptocurrency, developed on the Solana blockchain, reached a market value of $5.5 billion just a few hours later. The utility of $TRUMP remains somewhat ambiguous, relying more on its brand than groundbreaking technology or use cases. ⚙️ Tokens like this typically thrive under community-driven efforts, but long-term success may require more substantial applications or partnerships to support their value. Without a clear and distinctive proposition, its potential may be limited.
$TRUMP's total supply is set at 1 billion tokens, with an initial issuance of 200 million tokens. The remaining 800 million tokens will be in circulation over the next three years. 80% of these tokens are held by CIC Digital LLC and Fight Fight Fight LLC, which are related to the Trump Organization, and these tokens cannot be sold within three years.
This move is a continuation of Trump's interest in the cryptocurrency industry. Previously, Trump and his sons founded a cryptocurrency company called World Liberty Financial.
However, the launch of $TRUMP has sparked ethical controversies. In particular, the attempt to do so on the eve of Trump's inauguration has raised concerns about conflicts of interest and foreign influence. Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci referred to this as "Aming-level corruption".
Overall, the launch of $TRUMP has had a huge impact on the cryptocurrency world, reflecting Trump's leadership style. However, the ethical implications of this move and potential conflicts of interest are still under discussion.
