On December 17th, Jinshi data reported that according to CNBC's December Federal Reserve survey, respondents firmly believe that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates this week, but they are not sure whether they should. 93% of the people believe that the Fed will cut 25 basis points. But only 63% of them think this is what the Fed should do. Respondents' expectations for 2025 are two more rate cuts, each by 25 basis points, lower than the three times in the previous survey. By this time next year, the fund Intrerest Rate will drop to 3.8%, and by the end of 2026, the fund Intrerest Rate will drop to 3.4%, slightly higher than the average neutral Intrerest Rate.
