IPN Leverages RGB++ to Launch Bitcoin Payment Network and Stablecoin, USDI | NewsBTC

Interstellar Payment Network (IPN) has announced the upcoming launch of a native payment network built on the Bitcoin mainnet, powered by the innovative RGB++ protocol. This network will support USDI, a programmable stablecoin designed to enhance the BTCFi eco and boost the Lightning Network. IPN has secured partnerships with CKB Eco Fund and Matrixdock to support this initiative.

IPN’s strategy centers on RGB++ to build a secure and efficient payment , aiming to promote financial inclusion and simplify cross-border transactions. The USDI stablecoin will be pegged 1:1 with fiat currencies and backed by high-quality, liquid assets, ensuring stability and building user trust.

A core component of this integration is the mapping of Bitcoin UTXOs to CKB Cells. This unlocks smart contract capabilities on Bitcoin and enables seamless, bridgeless cross-chain transfers of Bitcoin Layer-1 assets, ensuring USDI compatibility with various UTXO-based blockchains, including BTC, CKB, DOGE, and BCH

Leveraging CKB’s Fiber Network and UTXO Stack, the network is expected to optimize multi-asset flow within the Lightning Network, improving liquidity and yield through decentralized staking. This positions IPN and its adoption of RGB++ as a significant step forward in integrating blockchain technology into mainstream global payments.
