According to Odaily, Elon Musk's social media platform X is expected to avoid the impact of an important EU law that aims to limit the power of tech giants. Regulatory authorities have determined that the platform's influence in the EU market is not significant enough. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that the European Commission's investigation into the platform is nearing completion and is expected to conclude that the EU Digital Markets Act (DMA) does not have jurisdiction over X, as its services are not robust enough for commercial users and do not meet certain revenue thresholds. The results of the investigation by the European Commission are likely to be announced in October. DMA outlines a set of requirements for companies such as Google Search, Apple's Safari, Amazon, and Meta. This move aims to prevent tech giants from violating competition laws and imposes fines of up to 10% of a company's global revenue for violations, and up to 20% for repeated violations.
