I can still understand the explanation of the concept of L2 in class, and it answers my question 🤔 about whether eths can become Ethereum L2
L2 is a concept born to solve the performance problem of Ethereum, and the interaction of eths is realized through input data, and QPS is limited by the QPS of Ethereum transfer and the capacity of input data of Ethereum. L2's🈶 own high-performance virtual machine can compress and package multiple transactions, and the total zero-knowledge proof can achieve transaction legitimacy, and the QPS is much stronger than ETHS. ETHS does not efficiently solve the problem of Ethereum's execution throughput.
However, the performance of eths is definitely improved compared to eth, and the gas consumption is also less than that of Ethereum mainnet, eths can be used as a sidechain of Ethereum, and compared with other L2s, eths should be the most loyal scaling scheme. All ETHS data is on the Ethereum network, while L2 may not be the same.
Another thought is: if one day a decentralized L2 dominates the world, the performance is better than Ethereum, and the gas consumption is less. Why do I still need to use Ethereum, just migrate to this L2 network. Could it be that L2 is the future successor of Ethereum? 🤔
Blind brother has just entered the field of web3 technology, the above is not necessarily correct, welcome to discuss and correct 😀
