The UK formulates AI regulatory principles and plans to solicit opinions from Microsoft, Google and other companies

According to a report by Financial Associated Press on September 18, the British Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) on Monday formulated seven new principles for the supervision of artificial intelligence (AI) to protect consumers and guide the market. The seven principles governing artificial intelligence include: accountability, accessibility, diversity, choice, flexibility, fair dealing, and transparency. As part of this process, the CMA said it will speak to a number of individuals and organizations to get their views on the matter, including Google, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, Anthropic and ChatGPT creator OpenAI.
