Issue coins? New NFTs? What will Azuki do tonight in Vegas?
Author: Delphi Digital researcher Teng Yan
Compilation: Odaily Planet Daily Azuma
People are discussing what Azuki will announce at the event in Las Vegas tonight (starting at 22:00 local time on June 23rd, that is, 13:00 Beijing time on the 23rd).
This is probably the most important thing happening in the NFT space this month, so it’s no wonder people are so excited.
If you haven’t followed the event yet, don’t worry, I’ll give you a brief introduction to what might happen tonight.
“Follow the Rabbit” is Azuki’s first large-scale offline event this year. The event will start at 22:00 local time on June 23, and there are still about ten hours left.
Many members of the Azuki community are flying to Las Vegas from all over the world, and I know many who flew over 12 hours for this event, and it shows their expectations.
The event will be held at Hakkasan, a luxury nightclub inside the MGM Grand Las Vegas, featuring live shows from community members @shinny and @SireDontPlay.
The specifics of tonight’s events have been kept under wraps, so no one really knows what’s going to happen next. Plus, with at least 20 side events coming up in the near future, it’s going to be a busy weekend for community members who are on hand.
Apart from the party, everyone is anticipating what Azuki will announce at the event. So what could this possibly be? I’m going to speculate a bit, because it’s interesting. I have the following guesses:
Azuki may release a new token, similar to APE, but given the regulatory uncertainty in recent weeks, I don’t think that is very likely. Token issuance is more suitable for the bull market stage, because it can attract more participants to join the community. Even if there is no direct attraction effect, the token can also be used as an alternative investment target for users who cannot afford NFT temporarily.
This possibility is higher. They have a history of doing this at offline events, and at last year’s Garden party offline event, Azuki airdropped Beanz to NFT holders. As far as I know, this possibility is also the basic expectation of the community for this event.
Azuki may also announce a new major roadmap that sets the direction for development over the next 1-2 years. new game? new anime? Or a TV show? I’m not sure how likely this is. Azuki doesn’t have a clear future direction yet, and the team may take this opportunity to do so.
Judging from the data on the chain, people are preparing for the occurrence of a major event.
Azuki and Beanz top Blend’s list of active loans with 690 and 595 loans respectively. This means that there is considerable leverage.
If you want to know why everyone in the Azuki community is so excited about “Follow the Rabbit”, also check out this tweet summary by @Minh.
I don’t have any inside information, all of this is just speculation.
I’m just an Azuki holder and the only thing I’m sure of is that it’s going to be a great event.
It was great to see what happened, although I couldn’t be there in person, so please send me some pics.
