Gate Card is becoming one of the standout crypto payment solutions of 2026 after introducing a redesigned six-tier cashback program in July. The Visa Platinum card allows users to spend crypto directly from their Gate.io exchange balance without transferring funds into a separate wallet, making crypto payments faster and more convenient.

HOW THE NEW REWARD SYSTEM WORKS

The updated rewards model replaces the previous two-tier structure with six cashback levels. Users can qualify for each tier either by reaching the required Gate VIP level or by achieving the necessary monthly card spending target. This flexible approach rewards both active traders and high-volume card users.

At the entry level (T0), users receive 1% cashback with a monthly limit of $5. After the 0.9% crypto conversion fee, the effective domestic return is approximately 0.1%.

Moving higher, T2 becomes available through VIP 8 status or $3,000 in monthly spending, offering 2% cashback with a $100 monthly cap.

T4 is unlocked through VIP 10–12 or $10,000 in monthly spending and increases rewards to 5% cashback with a monthly maximum of $250.

The highest level, T5, is available through VIP 13–14 or $15,000 in monthly card spending. It provides 8% cashback with a $400 monthly limit and a total annual cap of $4,800. Even after the conversion fee, the effective domestic cashback reaches approximately 7.1%, placing it ahead of competing exchange-linked crypto cards.

SUPPORTED FEATURES

Gate Card supports spending with USDT, BTC, ETH, and GT. Rewards are distributed as points, where every 100 points equals 1 USDT. Redemption starts from only 50 points, points never expire, and they can be exchanged for either USDT or GT.

Both virtual and physical Visa Platinum cards are issued free of charge. Users also benefit from Apple Pay and Google Pay compatibility, with Apple Pay support introduced in May 2026. Spending limits reach as high as $500,000 per day.

FEE STRUCTURE

The card maintains a competitive fee schedule with no annual fee, no issuance fee, a 0.9% crypto-to-fiat conversion fee, and a 0.4% foreign exchange fee for transactions outside the base currency.

IMPORTANT TIER TIMING

Reward levels are updated using the previous month's average VIP level or monthly spending. The newly calculated tier becomes active during the following calendar month and remains unchanged throughout that month.

GLOBAL EXPANSION

Gate Card continued expanding during July 2026 through new partnerships and services. The company introduced a football-themed card design, partnered with Printemps Paris to provide up to 16% tax refunds plus 5% shopping discounts, and expanded payment coverage worldwide. Today, the card can be used at more than 150 million Visa merchants across over 200 countries.
