While majors held range, small caps stole the show. Thursday tape was led by a Trump-family linked token WLFI, up 12.18% to $0.063, lifting its cap back near $2B despite still far from prior peak. MORPHO added close to 4% to $1.98, holding its spot among top AI-linked gainers of last two weeks. ENA rose 2% to $0.092, a slow grind that has seen it beat most DeFi peers over past seven days even though it trades 90% below Sep 2025 top.

On the weak side, Lighter LIT fell 2.96%, its third red close as profit taking hit after a 200% plus run from May to early July. That split tells the story of a selective market, not a broad rush.

Altcoin season gauge held at 51 of 100, right in mid zone, as traders wait for BTC to break with force. When BTC stalls near $66k, capital tends to hunt beta in niche names, then snaps back fast if BTC slips.

Playbook for active traders: chase strength only with volume proof. WLFI move came with solid turnover, MORPHO with steady bid on dips. Set tight invalidation below day low, take partials into 8-10% spikes, and avoid adding into thin books. If BTC holds $65k, alt beta can run more; if BTC loses $64k, cut exposure quick.
