Samsung Electronics announces it will introduce support for stablecoins in Samsung Wallet

PANews July 23日消息, according to Digital Today, Samsung Electronics announced at its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event that Samsung Wallet plans to introduce support for stablecoins, integrating payments, rewards, and digital assets into a unified service. Samsung said this would be one of the first models among major mobile phone brands to support stablecoins as a native feature. Samsung Wallet has expanded from a payment tool into a digital hub that can store keys, documents, and boarding passes, among other items. The event also unveiled its first financial service based on Samsung Wallet— the Samsung Galaxy Card—launched in the US in partnership with Barclays and Visa. Samsung said its Knox security platform protects sensitive information through end-to-end encryption.
