I quit my pediatric nursing job to become a full-time trader 6 years ago.

Here are 3 lessons I wish I had learned sooner:
1. Trade less.
More trades don’t create more opportunities. They usually create more mistakes. The best traders are often doing nothing while they wait for their setup.
2. Reduce your position size.
If every candle makes you emotional, your position is probably too large. Smaller size helps you think clearly, follow your plan, and stay in the game.
3. Calculate potential risk - not potential profit.
Before entering a trade, know exactly where you’re wrong and how much you’re willing to lose. The upside will take care of itself.
Trading became much easier when I stopped asking:
“How much can I make?”
And started asking:
“How much am I willing to lose if I’m wrong?”
