Former Mihoyo internationalization president Jin Wanyi joined the Darkside of the Moon, and Kimi launched the K399 web gaming platform

PANews July 22 report: Game Grapevine said that Jin Wenyi, former MiHoYo’s internationalization president, confirmed about a month ago that she has joined the Dark Side of the Moon, where she is responsible for Kimi’s overseas expansion and global operations. After releasing the Kimi K3 model, the Dark Side of the Moon launched a web gaming platform called K399. The platform has already gathered dozens of web games developed with the involvement of K3, covering genres such as shooters, music rhythm games, side-scrolling action, palace-intrigue AVG, 3D puzzle games, and open-world titles, and some games also support AI boosting/AI-driven gameplay assistance. The article notes that, on one hand, K399 serves as a showcase for K3’s capabilities in game generation, long-horizon planning, and multimodal features, and it also attempts to provide users with a creation and distribution workflow through “one-sentence game generation.” On the other hand, multiple games directly pay tribute to or replicate existing products such as The Legend of Zelda, Black Myth: Wukong, Bubble Trouble, and Vampire Survivors, highlighting issues such as rising copyright risks, gameplay cloning, and an increase in shoddy output in the gaming sector enabled by generative AI, while platform review and legal governance related to these developments are still being refined.
