This girl’s mother died less than two years ago.

Her father is about to marry a woman who’s only 5 years older than her.
She didn’t oppose it, but her father said that woman would move into the house and home left behind by her mother in the future.
The situation is like this:
She said her mother passed away less than two years ago.
Later, she went abroad to study, and only recently returned to China..
Her father told her that he had met a woman who is more than 20 years younger than him. She is only 5 years older than her, and she is already pregnant and preparing to get married.
To be honest, she didn’t really strongly oppose it.
Her father is still young and wants to start over again—she understands that.
What she couldn’t accept was what happened afterward.
Her father said that after they get married, the woman will move into this current house!
This house was bought by her parents together, and it was also personally renovated by her mother during her lifetime.
Many of the furniture and decorations in the home, even every corner, all carry traces of her mother’s life!
The moment she thinks that another woman will live there in the future—sleep in the room her mother slept in, and use the furniture her mother chose—she feels especially heartbroken.
She told her father:
“I’m not against you remarrying. You can buy another house, or you can stay with her there—but don’t move into here!”
Her father said he doesn’t have money to buy another house! Her father said:
“Since you can’t come home more than a few times a year, an empty house is still an empty house. Do I have to rebuild a family and keep living outside all the time?”
After that, they argued about this many times!
She worries that the property her mother left behind will cause problems in the future, so she even took the initiative to consult a lawyer, hoping to handle the relevant procedures first.
But her father felt that she was trying to guard against him, thinking about the family’s property.
And she felt that he would rather believe someone he’s known for only a few months than trust his own daughter.
Even until now, she still doesn’t know
whether she is just too selfish,
or whether she really only can’t bear to let go of everything her mother left behind.
The girl feels helpless and distressed.
If it were you,
could you accept your father remarrying?
Could you accept another woman moving into the house and home left by your mother? What do you think about this?
