Quantum talk returned. Devs pushed a recovery tool for $BTC wallets hit by quantum risk, but they said Satoshi 1.1M $BTC will stay out of scope. This line matters. If Satoshi coins ever move, market would fear a flood. Tool calms some nerves for early holders who lost keys, yet it also shows how real quantum fear has become for 2026. Privacy got a shock. Zcash team revealed a new node that targets Visa-scale flow at 50,000 tx per sec with full shield. $ZEC has been quiet for months, but this test, if true, could bring back privacy bid that died after 2022. $ZEC volume rose 22% on news, but price held near $28. If test proves live on main net, $ZEC and $XMR could see fresh flow from users who want hide flow from AI scanners.
Most wild stat: about $1.6B in crypto liquidity sits idle and is not used. Data from July 18 shows stable pools, bridge cash, and LP vaults with no yield. This cash drags APY down and shows fear. When fear fades, this cash could rush back and lift $ETH, $SOL, $ARB fast.
Options desks are betting on that rush. Massive $BTC call spreads aim for $72k by month end, timed for Fed meet July 30. Open interest for $72k calls jumped 35% in two days. This is not retail FOMO, it is funds that buy cheap upside while spot holds $64k base.
Last big print: token flow is now top goal for 84% of finance firms per July 18 poll. That means token funds, token cash, token stocks are no longer side bets. $ONDO, $LINK, $AVAX, $MKR sit in middle of this shift. $ONDO hit new high on TVL, $LINK held $13.5 even when $BTC dipped.
Trade plan for this mix: keep $BTC long above $64k with $68k as first take, hold $72k call for July 30 as lottery. Add $ZEC small on dips below $26 with stop $23 if you want privacy beta. Watch idle cash gauge: if stable pool TVL jumps 5% in a day, that is green light for $ETH beta longs. Avoid over short into Fed, as $600M ETF inflow in five days shows real bid behind this low-volume climb.
