A-share close: the ChiNext Index adjusted downward with reduced volume, falling more than 3%; the storage chip concept saw market volatility before retreating
PANews July 22 — According to Cailian Press, the three major indexes moved in different directions. The Sci-Tech Innovation 50 Index and the Shenzhen Component Index rose then pulled back, while the ChiNext Price Index fell by more than 3%. The total trading value on the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets was 2.65 trillion yuan, down 303.7 billion yuan versus the previous trading day. In terms of market focus, momentum was relatively mixed, with more than 3,800 stocks across the market falling. By sector, the power sector bucked the trend and surged: Liantong New Energy notched five consecutive daily limit-ups, Huan Yin Electric Power hit four consecutive daily limit-ups, and Huadian Liaoneng and Huadian Energy both posted 3-for-2 days. The non-ferrous metals sector was active, with Shengda Resources achieving two consecutive daily limit-ups and Shan Jin International and Zhaojin Gold reaching the daily limit. The computing power leasing concept strengthened during the day: Meiliyun hit three consecutive daily limit-ups, and Zhengtong Electronics and Litong Electronics both posted two consecutive daily limit-ups. The super node concept saw repeated bursts of activity: Gongjin Co. delivered 3 limit-ups in 4 days. On the downside, the storage chip concept saw volatility and pulled back, with Demingli locking down limit-downs 6 times in 8 days. The PCB concept oscillated and adjusted, with China Jushi hitting the daily limit-down and Tongguan Copper Foil down more than 10%. By market close, the Shanghai Composite rose 0.07%, the Shenzhen Component fell 1.42%, and the ChiNext Price Index fell 3.23%.
