Someone privately messaged me and asked: on X, you’ve been posting too many pornographic tweets, and your brain is taken over by sexual desire—how should you deal with it? Actually, on the surface, this is a problem of sexual desire; at its core, it’s a problem of attention and life direction.

The human brain naturally seeks immediate feedback, and pornography, entertainment, short videos, and the like are all high-stimulation sources. When a person doesn’t have bigger goals to carry their attention, they’re easily drawn to these low-cost stimuli.

Real self-discipline isn’t about suppressing desire—it’s about building a stronger life system. When your growth, career, abilities, and future goals are important enough, those lower-level stimuli naturally lose their appeal. Desire isn’t the enemy; the key is whether you have the ability to allocate your own attention.

In your youth, the greatest wealth isn’t money—it’s attention. Where you invest your attention long-term determines what kind of person you’ll become in the future.
