The Digital Chamber sues the state of Illinois, opposing an upcoming crypto transaction tax

ME News, July 22 (UTC+8), the crypto industry trade organization The Digital Chamber (TDC) has filed a lawsuit in the Illinois state court to oppose the state’s upcoming 0.2% digital asset transaction tax. The tax policy has been signed by Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and is scheduled to take effect in January 2027. TDC asks the court to declare the law “invalid and unenforceable,” arguing that the law violates the U.S. Constitution, and requests relevant relief. (Source: ODAILY)
