U.S. lawmakers from both parties continue negotiations on the Clarity Act’s ethical provisions, with DeFi-related content discussed in parallel

PANews July 21 — According to Eleanor Terrett, U.S. Capitol Hill today held bipartisan consultations on the ethical provisions related to the Clarity Act. The negotiating parties are also discussing DeFi-related provisions, but ethical issues remain the main obstacle to the current legislation. A spokesperson for Senator Cynthia Lummis’s office said her discussions with the White House last week on the ethics framework “went smoothly,” adding that updated text of the ethical provisions is expected to be released in the coming days, and that the document will reflect the outcomes of these talks between both sides.
