Michael Saylor posts again to oppose BIP 110, saying it goes against the spirit of Bitcoin decentralization.
PANews July 21, Michael Saylor, founder of Strategy, posted to oppose the Bitcoin BIP 110 proposal. The proposal aims to restrict the storage of non-financial data on Bitcoin. Saylor said that trying to change the rules in a coercive way—by claiming “monetary purity,” simply because he disagrees with how others use Bitcoin—does not fit the Bitcoin community, which is rooted in freedom, private property, free markets, natural law, and the Austrian School of economics. In essence, BIP 110 is a forced prescription of so-called “monetary purity.”
Earlier, Michael Saylor also posted to oppose the BIP 110 proposal, emphasizing that Bitcoin should remain neutral, open-market, and enable permissionless innovation.
