7.21 Tuesday gold midday outlook

On July 21, spot gold probed to the downside and rebounded during the day. The current price is trading near $4,068. After an early pullback to the $4,000 whole-number level met with buying support, it rebounded and remained in a narrow $3,999–$4,070 range for the entire day. Geopolitical safe-haven buying and interest-rate bearishness are creating a two-way tug-of-war, and long vs. short positioning on the screen is extremely tense.

Technically, the first short-term resistance is locked at $4,040–$4,063 (the 21-day moving average pressure zone). Only with strong volume to hold above this range can the current weak consolidation pattern be broken and further pressure toward $4,100 be challenged. The key “lifeline” support below is the $3,999–$4,000 whole-number level. Once the short side breaks through here on expanding volume, downside room will be fully opened; the next support lies near the prior low at $3,960. On the daily chart, price is trading below all short-term moving averages, and the overall short-term trend remains relatively weak. The RSI is in the neutral-to-low area around 44, and rebound momentum is limited.

Trading suggestion: sell zones 4,085–4,100; target 4,040–4,000$BTC $ETH $SOL
