For small funds under 5,000 USDT, trying to turn things around in a bear market shouldn’t start with thinking about 100x.
In my view, 5,000 USDT and 500 USDT are basically the same—they’re still in the “early accumulation stage.”
At this stage, the most important thing isn’t to surge; it’s to stay alive.
These 10 rules are what I learned after stepping into pitfalls along the way:
1、With small funds, practice waiting first—don’t act impulsively$B
Opportunities come only a few times a year; what’s most terrifying isn’t missing out, but going all-in and getting trapped.
2、Learn in a way that avoids losses, then learn to make money
If you can’t even protect your principal, profits are just luck.
3、When good news comes out, don’t rush to chase
Many markets rise before the news, then pull back after it lands.
4、Reduce position size before holidays
Making a little less is fine—just ensure safety first.
5、Always keep cash$SNDK
If it goes up, sell in batches; if it drops, that’s when you have ammo.
6、For short-term trading, look at volume—don’t move without it
Low-volume range-bound movement—be patient; waiting beats frequent overtrading.
7、A sharp sell-off isn’t scary; the grindy slow bleed is what wears you down
Risk can be released quickly, and there’s still a chance—slowly consuming it is what’s hardest to endure.
8、Stop-loss isn’t admitting defeat; it’s keeping yourself alive
To recover from a 50% loss, you need to make 100%—holding positions often becomes the biggest source of loss.
9、Indicators can only be referenced—don’t worship them
MACD and KDJ can help you judge, but they can’t replace trading logic.
10、Less is more
Don’t study a whole bunch of methods—find the one that suits you, and practice it until you’ve mastered it.
In the small-fund stage, it’s not about daring; it’s about discipline.
Stay alive first, and only then do you have the right to wait for the next round of opportunities.
