The crypto market today (21st) continues to build rebound momentum. Bitcoin (BTC) holds the $65k level in Asian early trading, with the intraday high reaching $65,799; the 24-hour gain is 1.52%. Ethereum (ETH) also strengthens in tandem, reclaiming above $1,900, at $1,914.93, up 2.23%. SOL and XRP also rise by 1.92% and 1.71% respectively; the overall market shows broad-based gains.

Entire network liquidates $249 million, short positions severely hit

CoinGlass data shows that over the past 24 hours, the total derivatives liquidation across the entire network reached $249 million. Short liquidations were $139 million, and long liquidations were $110 million. A total of 72,638 traders were liquidated. The largest single liquidation occurred in Binance’s BTCUSDT contract, amounting to $7.85 million.

Fed rate decision is imminent; all three major U.S. stock indexes close lower

On the macro front, U.S. stocks fell broadly on Monday (the 20th). The S&P 500 dropped 1% to 7,457.69 points. The Nasdaq Index plunged 1.4% to 25,520.24 points, and the Dow Jones Industrial Index marked a third straight day of declines. The Fed will hold its rate decision meeting on July 28–29. The federal funds rate is currently kept in the 3.5% to 3.75% range, and the market is watching the post-meeting statement assessing inflation and the labor market.

BTC sets a 14-day high, ETH nears the swing high

Bitcoin today hit a high of $65,799, the highest in 14 days since July 9. Ethereum reached a $1,931 swing high on July 15; it is now just one step away from the prior high. SOL and XRP are at $78.1 and $1.1155 respectively, with 24-hour gains of about 1.9% and 1.7%.

Fear Index drops to 25, market sentiment still cautious

Alternative.me data shows that today (2026-07-21) the Fear and Greed Index is at 25 (extreme fear), down 4 points from 29 the previous day. Over the past 8 days, the index has ranged between 22 and 29; it remains in the bearish range overall, and market sentiment has not fully turned bullish yet.
