PANews July 21, according to Sina Finance, a study by Nikkei News shows that as AI investment surges, the hidden liabilities of major US technology companies have grown eightfold in just four years, estimated at $1.65 trillion. This figure exceeds their actual debts on the balance sheet, making it harder for investors to assess related risks. Nikkei News analyzed recent financial statements and other materials of Alphabet, the parent company of Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and Oracle. Among them, Meta’s off-balance-sheet liabilities are especially high, at about $16.5k, nearly three times its debts recorded on the books.
