Iran’s foreign minister calls for the establishment of a collective security mechanism “free from U.S. interference”

ME News, April 26 (UTC+8): Iran’s Foreign Minister Aragchi urged regional countries to establish a collective security mechanism that is “not subject to U.S. intervention.” On that day, in a meeting in Muscat, the Omani capital, with Oman’s Sultan Haitham, Aragchi said that Iran’s experience shows the U.S. military presence in regional countries would only lead to turmoil and division in the region. He called on regional countries to jointly build an autonomous collective security mechanism, “without U.S. intervention.” (Source: PANews)
