At the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, reporters saw that AI applications represented by agents are moving out of the lab and are deeply embedded in real production and daily-life scenarios such as cross-border trade and sports events—shifting from “dialogue and interaction” to “task execution,” becoming an “intelligent partner” that supports decision-making and improves efficiency.

China UnionPay has just released the《Agent Payment Open Protocol Framework》. By working with industry partners inside and outside China, it establishes a unified trust mechanism and interaction paradigm, enabling all parties in the ecosystem to seamlessly and securely participate in the agent payment process in a “plug-and-play” manner.

Exhibitor Wang Yujie: At present, we have already teamed up with dozens of ecosystem partners to complete verification transactions for multiple real scenarios, including overseas hotel bookings, in-car agent consumption, AI flight ticket bookings, Yunshanfu lifestyle bill payments, and offline smart ordering. This breaks down interoperability barriers between intelligent agents from different vendors and accelerates the formation of an end-to-end intelligent ecosystem.
