ME News, July 20 (UTC+8): According to Citrini analyst Jukan, Samsung is expanding its NAND flash alliance with Nvidia. On top of existing DRAM, HBM, and foundry cooperation, it is adding V9 supply, launching V10 mass production and shipments, and accelerating development of V11 in the 500-layer class. Driven by a surge in demand from AI servers’ KV cache and Nvidia’s CMX storage system (including 576 SSDs, with 9,600TB capacity), Samsung is quickly shifting its V-NAND production capacity toward V9 as the primary focus, and plans to significantly increase output. “Nvidia’s Rubin CMX will truly absorb NAND supply the way a sponge absorbs water. For an intuitive comparison, it’s roughly equivalent to adding another demand source on the scale of Apple within the NAND market.” In addition, Samsung has begun using molybdenum material innovations in V10 to improve density. Lee Jae-yong at the top level is about to meet with Jensen Huang to discuss deepening HBM and NAND supply and cooperation with South Korean data centers. (Source: BlockBeats)
