Infinity raises $15 million in funding to build general AI inference software to compete with Nvidia’s ecosystem
PANews July 20 news: According to TechCrunch, AI infrastructure company Infinity announced it has completed a $15 million funding round, with a post-money valuation of $100 million. Investors include Touring Capital, Principal VC, and researchers from companies including OpenAI and Anthropic. Infinity is developing a general-purpose AI inference computation library that can run on a variety of chips (including GPUs, SRAM, and mobile chips), aiming to provide general-purpose kernel software that can replace Nvidia CUDA. Its AI research agent Ignition can automatically generate, test, and optimize low-level inference code for non-Nvidia chips, and charges based on performance improvements and cost savings. It is already serving AI chipmaker D-Matrix and is in talks with multiple chip and cloud providers for cooperation.
