On the evening of July 20, U.S. stocks opened broadly higher across the board. The Dow rose 0.27%, the S&P 500 index climbed 0.54%, and the Nasdaq gained as much as 0.8%. Overall, market risk appetite visibly rebounded. Bitcoin, as a risk asset that is highly linked to U.S. stock technology sectors, directly absorbed the market’s long sentiment and provided positive support to the current choppy trading pattern.

At the individual stock level, Google jumped at the open by 2% after developing a newly designed AI chip in-house, which is expected to significantly improve the efficiency of AI model execution. That move sparked a collective surge across the compute and storage sector: SK hynix, Micron Technology, and SanDisk all rose by 4%, while Western Digital and Seagate Technology also rose by about 3%.

With sentiment across the AI industry chain continuing to rise, it not only benefited AI-themed tokens within the crypto sector, but also boosted Wall Street institutions’ willingness to allocate to high-growth risk assets. This further reinforced expectations that there will be continued net inflows into Bitcoin spot ETFs, providing stronger capital-flow support for Bitcoin’s long-term price performance.

Overall, this positive U.S. stock opening adds bullish support to Bitcoin from both market sentiment and institutional capital expectations. In the short term, it should help the price hold within the current trading range. However, whether the market can ultimately break upward still depends on the outcome of the Federal Reserve’s rate decision meeting, which will need to deliver clear liquidity guidance. $BTC $ETH $SOL
