A senior Iranian official says the mediator has proposed a 10-day ceasefire between Iran and the US.

ME News report: On July 20 (UTC+8), the mediation party in the Iran–US negotiations has put forward a proposal to the Iranian side aimed at easing the current situation. The proposal suggests implementing a 10-day ceasefire in order to seek the resumption of the implementation of the memorandum of understanding on which Iran and the US reached agreement last month. Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Baghaei said at a press conference that Iran has received the proposal put forward by the United States and the Iran–US negotiation mediation party, but he said he is not in a position to disclose the details at this time. He also said that Iran’s Minister of Interior will visit Pakistan that day to consult on relevant matters between the two countries. (Source: ODAILY)
