When your girlfriend or partner feels wronged, will you rush over first, or will you feel, “Going won’t help anyway”?
Cat Ge saw a real incident.
A girl went to a 4S store to service her car. When she picked it up, she found a small dent in the windshield. Although she couldn’t be 100% sure the damage was caused by the store, she still argued with the staff alone in the store for more than two hours—feeling helpless because the 4S store wouldn’t admit it.
During that time, she called her boyfriend. He knew about it and wasn’t too busy, but he still didn’t come over.
In the end, she gave up on continuing the argument and let her boyfriend come pick her up. On the way there, her boyfriend didn’t choose to comfort her—he just kept saying:
“4S stores won’t admit this kind of thing. Just put up with it for now.”
Later, she anonymously posted something, asking only one question:
“Suddenly I feel like my boyfriend isn’t worth entrusting with my life—am I the one who’s wrong?”
She also said this:
“What I’m really disappointed about isn’t really related to the car windshield.
It’s just that when I needed you most, you weren’t standing by my side.”
If it were you, would you think the boyfriend did something wrong?
A: He should have gone over right away
B: Even if he went, it wouldn’t solve the problem
