Iran’s foreign minister calls for the establishment of a collective security mechanism “free from U.S. interference”

ME News, April 26 (UTC+8): Iran’s foreign minister, Araghchi, urged regional countries to establish a collective security mechanism that is “not subject to U.S. intervention.” Araghchi said on the day during a meeting in Muscat, the capital of Oman, with Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tariq that Iran’s experience shows that the United States’ military presence in regional countries would only lead to turmoil and division in the region. He called on regional countries to jointly build an independent collective security mechanism without “U.S. intervention.” (Source: PANews)
