Iranian media: Strait of Hormuz shipping volume has fallen to zero

PANews July 19, citing sources from Iran’s Fars News Agency, reported that traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has fallen to zero, and that the strait will remain closed as long as the United States continues its provocative actions. A source from the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy said that currently no vessels are passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and any attempt to cross the strait will be met with strikes by Iran. The source said that as long as the United States continues to carry out “hostile and provocative actions,” the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed, and Iran will not issue passage permits to any ships.
