OpenAI's Subscription Window Has Closed Now the Market Begins Revealing What Early AI Access Is Really Worth.
The subscription phase may be over, but the investment story is only entering its most important chapter.
Gate's Pre-IPOs Season 2 attracted extraordinary attention by giving retail investors an opportunity that has traditionally been reserved for venture capital firms and institutional funds—early exposure to one of the world's most influential artificial intelligence companies before any public listing.
That alone explains why demand exploded.
More than 27,700 OPENAI asset certificates were made available at a subscription price of 722 USD, while participation was supported through both USDT and GUSD, making the event accessible to a wider range of investors. With a minimum entry of just 100 USDT, Gate lowered the barrier to an investment category that has historically remained out of reach for most retail participants.
But subscription success is only the beginning.
The real challenge starts after allocation.
Once pre-market trading opens, prices are no longer determined by subscription enthusiasm—they're driven by genuine market psychology. Buyers evaluate long-term potential, sellers lock in profits, and liquidity begins establishing a fair valuation. That's when the market separates excitement from conviction.
One feature I particularly appreciate is the three-stage unlock schedule.
Instead of releasing the full allocation immediately, Gate distributes certificates gradually over multiple phases. This structure helps avoid excessive selling pressure entering the market all at once while giving liquidity time to develop naturally. Although volatility remains inevitable, controlled supply often creates a healthier trading environment than a single large unlock.
Another aspect worth mentioning is capital efficiency.
Participants weren't limited to simply waiting for allocation results. Gate also integrated products such as GUSD Minting and VIP Earn, allowing eligible users to generate additional yield while their capital remained within the ecosystem. Combining investment opportunities with passive returns reflects how digital asset platforms continue evolving beyond simple trading.
OpenAI itself remains one of the strongest names in artificial intelligence.
From advanced language models to enterprise AI adoption, the company continues influencing software, healthcare, education, research, finance, and automation worldwide. Global interest in AI infrastructure keeps expanding, which explains why private-market access generated such exceptional attention.
Still, enthusiasm should always be balanced with realism.
Pre-IPO investments involve uncertainty. Future valuations aren't guaranteed, liquidity conditions can change, and long-term performance depends on business execution as well as overall market sentiment. Strong demand during subscription should never be mistaken for guaranteed future gains.
Looking ahead, I'll be watching four key signals:
• Trading volume after pre-market listing.
• Whether buyers absorb early profit-taking.
• Price behavior during future unlock phases.
• Continued global interest in AI-focused investments.
For me, this event represents something much bigger than a single subscription.
It highlights how blockchain infrastructure is making private-market opportunities more accessible while connecting retail investors with companies shaping tomorrow's technology.
The allocation process has ended.
Now the market begins answering the only question that truly matters:
How much is early exposure to the future of AI really worth?
