$556 worth of ZEC—are you chasing it?

First, look at the surface: a V-shaped reversal, with retail FOMO rushing in.

What happened over the past 6 weeks? The Orchard vulnerability was exposed: the price crashed from near 600 down to 250, and the panic index went through the roof. Then in mid-to-late June, the market started a V-shaped reversal, continued trending higher through July, broke multiple resistance levels, and reclaimed 550. Weekly up 11.83%, monthly up 16.56%, and over 1 year gains are more than 1100%.

The bottom reversal is confirmed, and upside momentum is still building.

First thing: that vulnerability which almost killed ZEC is now the biggest positive.

In late May, severe vulnerabilities in the Orchard privacy pool were disclosed—at least in theory, it could enable infinite minting of fake ZEC. The price plunged 40-50%, and the whole network screamed, “privacy coins are done.”

The team performed a 48-hour soft fork to disable Orchard, then rolled out the Ironwood upgrade—an entirely new shielded pool plus a turnstile mechanism that allows public verification of the total supply without breaking privacy.

Zooko Wilcox announced that formal verification (mathematical proofs) is close to complete, with AI-assisted proving that Ironwood has no comparable vulnerabilities. The mainnet upgrade is locked for July 28.

Second thing: supply is being locked down, and you might not have realized it yet.

Zcash has a total supply of 21 million coins. In November 2024, it underwent the second halving—inflation is now around 4%. Shielded supply is at a record high, at roughly one-third of total supply, and is highly illiquid.

One-third of ZEC is locked in the privacy pool and can’t come out.

Your actual circulating supply is far smaller than you think.

With the halving effect on top, supply contraction is accelerating.

Forbes just added ZEC to its 2026 list of best crypto assets. Halving + privacy lockups + institutional recognition—triple kill on the supply side, and the price has huge upside elasticity.

Third thing: a technical signal has appeared that must be taken seriously.

From 250 to 556, it’s up 122%. It’s currently consolidating around 550-560, which is in the “pullback confirmation after breakout” stage. The moving-average system is biased bullish: short-term MAs have crossed above long-term MAs. Oscillators are neutral (not overbought, still room to move).

The bulls vs. the bears—see for yourself:

On one side:

Ironwood upgrade lands on July 28, with mathematical proofs close to completion.

Shielded supply is one-third of total supply, with extremely compressed actual liquidity.

Halving + lockups + institutional recognition—triple kill on the supply side.

From the 250 V-shaped reversal (+122%), with strong volume at the bottom and aggressive buying.

On the other side:

Around 560, there’s profit-taking pressure.

“Sell the news” risk may appear before and after the upgrade.

If BTC breaks below 60k, ZEC could be dragged down.

Privacy-coin regulatory risk has never fully disappeared.

Key levels

Major resistance: 560 → 670-700 (post-upgrade target) → 900-1000

Major support: 500-520 → 480 (strong support) → 380-420

For short-term traders:

Buy in batches on pullbacks of 500-520, set stop-loss at 480, first target 560-600, second target 670. Position size no more than 10% of total funds.

For swing traders:

If the July 28 upgrade goes smoothly, and after breaking 560 with volume and holding firm, add positions; targets 700-900. If “sell the news” happens around the upgrade, sell 30-50% first to lock in profit, then re-enter on the pullback.

For long-term believers:

Dollar-cost average with eyes closed below 500. With the privacy track + halving + institutional logic, the 2027 target is 1000+. But remember—this thing is extremely volatile: keep position size within 15% and keep cash for adding on dips.

This time, ZEC isn’t just a pure hype trade—it’s a value return after a double repair of fundamentals + narrative—

99% of people think, “once privacy coins have vulnerabilities, it’s over.” Turns out the team fixed it in 5 days, and upgraded within a month—the price jumped back from 250 to 556.

On the day the July 28 upgrade succeeds, you’ll realize:

It’s not that ZEC isn’t good—it’s that you always cut loss at the lowest point and chase at the highest point. #PreIPOs第二期OpenAI认购 #GateDEX全面接入RobinhoodChain #夏日创作营 $BTC $ETH $ZEC
