Honestly, lately I’ve been watching different L2s all compete to compare TPS, fees, and subsidies—pretty lively. As a laid-back player like me, I don’t really have the energy to keep up. But it reminds me of an even more torturous thing—tax filing at the end of the year.

So I’ve developed a habit: after every transaction, I jot it down in Excel right away. Time, coin type, amount, counterparty, fees—then I take a screenshot and toss it into a folder. It’s not about being complete; it’s about making sure I can understand it myself. Better yet, I also find a cloud drive or a local hard disk and keep two backups.

In plain terms, the tax authorities don’t care how happy you were playing at the time. When it comes to year-end reconciliation, and you can’t remember things, that’s when it gets truly maddening.

Anyway, the record is for me, not to persuade anyone. That’s it—I’m going to record now.
