PANews July 19 message: Crypto trader Doctor Profit said in a post that he has closed all his short positions in cryptocurrencies. This includes the Bitcoin short positions established in the $115k to $125k range, another Bitcoin short position established in the $79k to $82k range, as well as 100+ altcoin short positions opened in the past several months, and he said that all of the above positions are profitable. Meanwhile, he also bought back Bitcoin spot at $64k. As long as BTC stays in the $54k to $64k range, he buys spot every day with 5% of allocated funds (up to a maximum of 20 days); if the price approaches $54k, he will increase the buy intensity.

Doctor Profit believes that most people are waiting for the 9–10 month period to mark the bottom of the four-year cycle is a “herd behavior,” and that the bottom may arrive earlier and won’t provide waiting participants with a perfect low point. In addition, the broader environment has fundamentally changed, including the CLARITY Act, tokenization infrastructure, institutional adoption, and inflows of capital from large institutions. Regarding U.S. stocks, Doctor Profit still holds all short positions in the S&P 500 index. He believes that Bitcoin and the stock market are not the same trade, and they are in different phases of their cycles. The crypto bear market began in October 2025, lasted nine months, while the stock market has remained robust throughout. Crypto prices have already been repriced, while the stock market is still overvalued.
