Wu Shuo learned that Zcash founder Zooko posted an update introducing the Ironwood network upgrade. The upgrade is expected to be activated on July 28, which will quarantine the Orchard privacy pool that poses a potential risk of forged ZEC, and enable the repaired new privacy pool. Previously, researchers found a critical vulnerability in the Orchard circuit that could potentially lead to forged ZEC, but the official statement said it believes the vulnerability is unlikely to have been exploited.
