Retail investor: The options market is rigged. Market makers always win... retail can't beat them.


Me: You're closer to the truth than you think. So what side are the market makers on?
Retail investor: ...what do you mean? They're just in the middle.
Me: They're net SELLERS of options. They're selling hope to retail all day & collecting the premium. That's the "rigged" part... the sellers have the edge.
Retail investor: So the house advantage everyone complains about...
Me: Is available to YOU. Nobody's stopping you from selling instead of buying. Same market, same contracts... you just switch seats.
Retail investor: So instead of fighting the house... join it?
Me: I sell 1+ year portfolio secured puts on elite companies & let the same edge everyone whines about work FOR me. Been on that side 10 years & have beat the SP500 by doing this...
